Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012 and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, IL in 2016. She became interested in becoming a physical therapist halfway through college after receiving treatment herself for multiple knee injuries from figure skating in high school.

Amanda became a physical therapist to help clients improve their quality of life and reduce risk of re-injury. She started participating in Pilates classes in 2015 and enjoyed the challenge it provided. She found that using Pilates exercise with clients was helpful in improving mind-body awareness and motor control, and translated well to functional activities. In 2022, Amanda began her Pilates teacher training education through Balanced Body.

Amanda also specializes in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management. She enjoys working with this population to reduce dizziness, improve balance, and minimize fall risk. She has taken multiple continuing education courses through the American Institute of Balance and is confident in treating those that may have more complex diagnoses, such as vestibular migraine, 3pd, and post-concussion syndrome.

In addition to conditions discussed above, Amanda treats temporomandibular dysfunction (TMJ). She first started treating this when no other provider wanted to! She has found great outcomes with utilizing physical therapy for jaw pain, as it often can be related to the neck. Amanda is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling through Kineticore, which she has found to expedite treatment.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Amanda enjoys watching Chicago sports, as well as spending time with her husband and daughter exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
